INTO AUTUMN UPDATE

This Season's News...

We are very pleased to report that we have maintained a “GOOD” rating from the Care Quality Commission(CQC).

 

We have also achieved a 5 star rating for the kitchen from the local Environmental Health Officer. We would like you to help us to maintain high standards by letting us know if you see examples of bad practice or if you think there are improvements we can make.

 

We have had to suspend our friends and relatives meetings due to Covid but we hope to reinstate them soon to enable friends and relatives to chat with us about the service we provide and how we can improve on it.

We have had to suspend any activities that we had from people outside the home providing for us but we are trying to get back to normal now.

However, Kerry has been very busy organising small group activities in the home and spending time enabling bedfast residents to stay in touch with loved ones.

We have got a production company coming on 24th September with a variety show called “When I’m Cleaning Windows”.

Of course, now that it’s September we are making plans for Bonfire night, Halloween and Christmas! So we will let you know as soon as we have finalised the details.

Now that residents have access to an electronic tablet there is an e-mail account which will enable messages to be sent directly to residents. If you wish to be kept informed of forthcoming events at the home please email this address to ensure we have your email contact details:

If you are sending an email to a particular resident please put their name in the “subject” area.

There is also a Skype account for Residents’ use. To add us, search for “jasonhyltonresidents” and our Skype picture is the framed “flower of hands” design that was created by the residents.

Remember

* having “stitched in” name labels in clothing will help to ensure a speedy return of laundry to the right person.

* leaving a small amount of pocket money for residents enables us to pay hair & chiropody bills without inconvenience to friends & relatives.
